Terms of Service
These terms cover your use of Renea and everything in it: Voice Studio, MusicGen, Simulations and the Renea Studio plugin for Unreal Engine.
1Your content and rights
You keep ownership of everything you upload, such as manuscripts, scripts and documents. When you upload something, you confirm that you own it or have the rights needed to use it this way, and you give Renea a limited licence to process it only to make what you asked for and deliver it to you. The files you make with Renea, including narration, music, facial animation and video, are yours, and every paid plan includes commercial use. For Simulations, the scenario material an organisation provides and its learners' session data, such as transcripts and results, belong to that organisation. You are responsible for what you upload, so don't upload material you don't have the rights to.
2Acceptable use
Don't use Renea to infringe copyright, make unlawful, hateful or deceptive content, imitate a real person's voice without their consent, or try to disrupt the service. The free preview is a one-time trial: creating multiple accounts to get repeated free credits, or automating sign-ups and generation, is not allowed. If we detect likely abuse, we may ask for email or payment verification, limit or withhold further free credits, or suspend the account. You can appeal any of these decisions. We may suspend accounts or remove content that breaks these terms.
3Plans, credits and billing
Paid plans come with a monthly credit budget. Voice Studio, MusicGen and the Renea Studio plugin for Unreal Engine all use the same Renea account and draw from the same credits. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing period, and you keep access until then. Credits are used when audio or music is produced and are not transferable between periods. Upload size limits go up with your plan. Simulations are provided to organisations under a separate agreement, usually starting with a pilot. Where that agreement differs from these terms, the agreement applies.
4Storage and retention
On the Free plan, generated audio is kept for 60 days after it is made. After that, the audio files are removed automatically to manage storage. Your manuscripts, project settings and render history are kept, and you can render again at any time. Paid plans keep generated audio for the life of the account. Deleting a project or your account removes its files from storage. How long Simulations session data is kept is set by the organisation's agreement with us.
5Voices and characters
Renea provides stock AI voices and characters for you to use in what you make. Voice cloning of a specific real person is not offered on the public service.
6Availability and liability
Renea is provided "as is." We work to keep it available and your data safe, but we don't guarantee the service will never be interrupted. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the fees you paid in the previous three months.
7Termination
You can delete your account at any time from Settings. This removes your manuscripts and other uploads, and the audio, music and video you have made. We may close accounts that break these terms.
8Copyright complaints
We respond to valid copyright notices. To send one, use our reporting page.
9Trademarks
Renea and the Renea logo are our trademarks. Unreal Engine and Fab are trademarks of Epic Games, Inc. Unity is a trademark of Unity Technologies. Godot is a trademark of the Godot Foundation. Other names and logos belong to their owners. We use them only to say which tools Renea works with, and that doesn't mean those companies endorse or are connected with Renea.
